Over 32 000 Grade 12 Students sit National Examinations

Over 32,000 Grade-12 students across Papua New Guinea are sitting for the  National Examinations, amidst the current spike in the COVID-19 cases.

The students are sitting Advanced Maths Paper 1, General Maths Paper 1 in session one this morning, Applied Science and History in session two.


The week-long exam will see Physics, Accounting and Geography tomorrow - Tuesday 19th October, and Economic, Biology, Geology and Business Studies on Wednesday.

Language and Literature, Applied English, Chemistry and Legal Studies will be on Thursday, while Information Communication Technology, Advanced Maths and General Maths Papers 2 will conclude the exams on Friday.

Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra, is urging everyone to work together and eliminate cheating in the national examinations - adding that he is confident that the students have prepared well as there were minimal disruptions to teaching and learning this year, compared to last year.
