Australia Awards Papua New Guinea – Public Sector Leadership Scholarship
Australia Awards Papua New Guinea invites applications for the Public Sector Leadership Scholarship, offering study at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) School of Business and Public Policy. Successful candidates will undertake the Graduate Diploma in Economic and Public Policy (GDEPP), a program designed to build strong skills in economic and public policy analysis for effective national policy development.
Who Can Apply
This scholarship is open to Papua New Guinean public servants at Grade 14 or above who are employed under the Public Service General Order. Applicants must be based in the National Capital District and serve in a department or statutory authority approved by the Department of Personnel Management. Women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Program Details
The GDEPP is delivered part-time with classes held on weekday evenings. The scholarship covers tuition fees and includes a contribution toward ICT costs. Recipients who complete the diploma in 2026 may be considered for the Master of Economic and Public Policy (MEPP) in 2027, either through coursework or a research pathway.
