The program is designed to support workforce development and address skills gaps in priority sectors while helping participants improve their career prospects through practical learning, professional exposure, and internationally recognised microcredentials.
According to the program announcement, the short courses will provide targeted professional learning opportunities that include intensive training programs delivered both in-country and in Australia. Participants will also benefit from networking opportunities with Australian organisations and exposure to Australian culture and professional environments.
The Australia Awards PNG said the courses are aimed at equipping young graduates with industry-relevant competencies in areas linked to national development priorities, while also helping participants build confidence in leadership, communication, and project delivery.
