The eligibility requirements for PNG Student Visa
The eligibility requirements for a Student visa will vary depending on individual circumstances including the duration of the enrolled course and the applicant’s capacity to support themselves during the period of study.
Validity Of Visa
Validity of a Student visa is subject to the individual circumstances of the applicant. For further information regarding the validity of Student visas, please contact PNG Immigration & Citizenship Authority (ICA).
How to apply PNG Student Visa
The Application process for PNG student visa is facilitated by the PNG Immigration & Citizenship Authority. Student visa applicants should submit their application using the paper form available to download at the bottom of this page.
Extension of stay
Depending on the type of visa you have been issued, you may be eligible to extend your stay in Papua New Guinea without leaving the country.
The eligibility requirements for a visa extension will vary depending on your personal circumstances, which include the purpose and the period of time you have already spent in Papua New Guinea, and length of the extension sought. For further information regarding visa extensions, please contact ICA.
Change of circumstances
If your circumstances change at any time during the visa application process or after your visa is issued, you must inform ICA. A change in circumstances may affect your ongoing eligibility for the visa issued. If your circumstances have changed, please notify ICA immediately.
A change in circumstances may result in you having to pay a Migration Service Fee. Migration Service Fees notice.
This serves to advise the general public and our valued clients that consistent with the National Gazette No.231 dated 27 March 2019 on Migration Fees (Amendment) 2019, effective from 1 November 2019 all visa fees will be charged in United States Dollars (USD) conversions and all Migration Service Fees can be paid via our new online payment gateway available on our website: www.ica.gov.pg

- Complete payment application online for one or more services (passport, visa, citizenship, penalties)
- Make payment and print receipts
- Lodge applications with copy of receipt
