Last Friday, 25 participants celebrated the completion of their studies for a Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation. Finishing their studies during this challenging period of #COVID19 demonstrates the drive and potential of PNG's new business leaders.
“Treat your cash as king and queen, know your financial footprint and never mix busi-ness and personal transactions,” advises Dorothy Tupa, Certificate graduate.
Dorothy says she now understands where her business stands and how to identify her strengths and weaknesses.
“I can now do strategic planning and start marketing my business using online plat-forms. I learned how to mitigate risk now that the global pandemic COVID-19 has hit our country. I am grateful that I can overcome the challenges the pandemic has brought and identify new opportunities.
“I am thankful for the opportunity the Australian Government has given me to study through the @AustraliaAwards and encourage others to gain skills to build their business careers.”
Short Course Awards support small businesses in PNG with more than 75 scholarships awarded to individuals showing potential with new initiatives since 2017.
