PM Marape calls on DHERST to create More Spaces at Tertiary Institutions

The Papua New Guinea Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) has been challenged to create more spaces in the tertiary institutions of the country.

PNG Prime Minister James Marape says the current spaces available is not enough to cater for the growing number of students.

The number of spaces available in higher education institutions has increased from 12, 000 – 15, 000 recently.

Acting Secretary for the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology Dr. Francis Hualupmomi says this is due to the inclusion of new institutions and programs.
