PNG Higher Education Minister Raminai announces K9 million for Finschaffen Technical College

Today in Gagidu, Finshaffen District, the Papua New Guinea Minister for Higher Education, Science, Research and Technology Hon. Wesley Raminai had a chance to visit two higher education institutions in Finshaffen District. He visited Brown Community Health Workers College and Finshaffen Technical College. 


Raminai was part of the government delegation that travelled to Finchaffen to officially open the Gagidu Airport Terminal. He was very concerned with the current state of the colleges and their aging infrastructure.

Minister Raminai said that the Finshaffen Technical College was one of the oldest institutions in the country that had produced a lot of skilled labours that came up to the Highlands and rest of the country to build our nation.

As Minister responsible, he made an announcement of K9 Million for the complete refurbishment and rehabilitation of the institution. A fitting recognition of an institution that helped built our country. 

Procurement process has already reached its end and a contract has been signed awaiting funding for construction to begin. 

Minister Raminai further committed K500,000.00 for the construction of a new classroom for Bown CHW College.
