In a collaborative effort with Divine Word University (DWU), professors and students from Handong Global University in South Korea conducted a seminar on Data Analytics and AI in Business at DWU’s Madang campus from June 26 to 28, 2024.
The seminar was designed to bolster competencies in data analytics and AI, crucial skills in today's competitive business environment. It aimed to equip participants with the knowledge needed to advance their careers and maintain relevance in a rapidly evolving job market.

The event featured sessions on advanced Excel applications, microlearning, Dart programming, and AI applications in business. Attendees, including DWU’s Faculty of Business & Informatics staff and students, were awarded Certificates of Completion for their participation.
In his opening remarks, DWU President Professor Fr. Philip Gibbs expressed gratitude towards Handong Global University for their collaboration and support.
Participants found the seminar both engaging and informative, with many highlighting the practical applications of advanced Excel and the introduction to Flutter Platform and Dart language as particularly valuable. The insights gained are expected to significantly contribute to their professional development.
Dr. Martin Daniel, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Informatics at DWU, commended the Korean university for their valuable contribution and resources in organizing the seminar. He encouraged attendees to leverage the new knowledge in their academic and professional pursuits, emphasizing the importance of staying updated with the fast-paced changes in business and technology.
