- Application Deadline:
Applications close on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, at 12 midnight.
Eligibility:
- Students who completed their Grade 12 studies.
- Students who discontinued, withdrew, or were suspended from studies in their semester 1 of the previous year.
Requirements for Re-admit Students:
Application Fee:
- A non-refundable application processing fee of K50.00 must be deposited into the PNG University of Technology, Account Number: 1000 386580, Bank of South Pacific, Lae Branch.
Character References:
Two completed Unitech character reference forms. The forms can be downloaded below.
- Academic Transcript:
- A copy of your current academic transcript. Semester result slips will not be accepted.
Readmission Letter:
- A letter explaining why the University should accept you.
- Clearance Letter (if suspended):
- Obtain a clearance letter from the Dean of Students.
- Medical Clearance (if withdrawn on medical grounds):
- Provide a medical clearance form from a recognized medical doctor.
- Withdrawal Form (for other personal reasons):
- Attach a copy of your withdrawal form.

Passport Photo:
- A recent passport-sized photo (scanned in .pdf format).
Identification:
- Copy of ID cards, Driver’s license, passport, or NID card will not be accepted.
Payment Receipt:
- Application payment receipt (scanned .pdf).
Academic Records:
- Transcripts/certificates showing grades/achievements from high school, college/university studies, vocational training, or distance/open learning courses. All documents must be officially certified within the current year (2024-2025) by a registered Commissioner of Oaths employed by the government (including district court houses). Statutory Declaration Forms are not accepted.
Reference Forms:
Find two referees willing to fill out the form attached below. Referees must be established adults, not close relatives, who know you and your capabilities well. Evaluations must be less than two years old and officially witnessed by a professional colleague from the same organization with its seal/stamp.
Important Notes:
- Any documents submitted after the application has been submitted will not be accepted.
- Appeals will not be accepted if your application is rejected.
- If you have previously failed two times in the first year or a total of three times during the whole program, you are automatically disqualified for re-admission into the same program.
- The maximum course completion period is seven years for Degree Programs and four years for Diploma Programs. If you have not completed your program within this period, you are disqualified for readmission.
- Applicants caught with forged or altered documents will be blacklisted and permanently disqualified from studies.
- Duplicate applications from an applicant will not be accepted.
