National Online Application System (NOAS) – 2025 Grace Period Update

The Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) advises all Grade 12 school leavers, non-school leaver applicants, parents, and the general public that the dates for the 2025 NOAS Grace Period are subject to change, depending on the release of final Grade 12 results by the National Department of Education (NDoE).

The official commencement and duration of this year’s Grace Period will be confirmed and announced once DHERST receives the final Grade 12 examination results from NDoE.

Current NOAS Timeline:

Grace Period: 8 December 2025 (12:01am) – 14 December 2025 (11:59pm)

Updated Proposed Timeline (Subject to NDoE Results):

Grace Period: 9 December 2025 (9:00pm) – 14 December 2025 (11:59pm)

During the Grace Period, applicants will receive updates through NOAS notifications, including Text Blasts and the MyStatus tab, regarding any adjustments to the application cycle.
