UNIVERSITY OF GOROKA APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2027 ADMISSION

Online Application System Introduced – Manual Applications No Longer Accepted

The University of Goroka (UOG) has opened applications for 2027 admission, with prospective students now required to apply online.

For the 2027 admission intake, the university is using its new BILUM online application portal for non-school leavers. Manual applications and hard-copy applications are no longer accepted.



WHO CAN APPLY?

School Leavers

School leavers must apply through the National Online Application System (NOAS). Their applications will be processed through the official government admissions system.

Non-School Leavers

Non-school leavers can apply directly to the University of Goroka through the BILUM online portal:

bilum.uog.ac.pg

Applicants must create an account and complete their application online.

ABOUT BILUM

BILUM is the University of Goroka's official academic portal. The system is used for applications, enrolment, grade tracking, fee payments and document verification.

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1 – Prepare Your Documents

  • Grade 12 Certificate or other required academic documents
  • A clear passport-type photograph
  • Any additional documents required for the selected programme

Step 2 – Create an Account

Visit bilum.uog.ac.pg and create a free applicant account.

You will need:

  • A valid personal email address
  • An active mobile phone number

The email address must be unique to the applicant and should not be shared with another applicant.

Step 3 – Submit Your Application

Complete the online application and select the programme or programmes you wish to apply for.

Applicants can apply for multiple programmes using the same account.

Step 4 – Check STAT-PNG Requirements

Applicants must check whether their selected programme requires the STAT-PNG test.

Where STAT-PNG is required, applicants must register for the test and obtain a STAT ID. The STAT ID must then be entered into the BILUM application.

After the applicant sits the test, STAT-PNG results will be transferred automatically to BILUM.

Step 5 – Receive Your Application Number

BILUM will automatically issue an Application Number after the application is submitted. Applicants must keep this number for future communication with the university.

Step 6 – Pay the Application Fee

The application fee is K50 per programme and is non-refundable.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • Applications must be submitted online.
  • Manual and hard-copy applications are no longer accepted.
  • Multiple programmes can be applied for using one account.
  • Each programme requires a separate K50 application fee.
  • Documents must be clear and legible.
  • Applicants must keep their Application Number.
  • Check whether your selected programme requires STAT-PNG.
  • Processing may take up to seven days during busy periods.

STAT-PNG REQUIREMENTS

Applicants whose selected programme requires STAT-PNG should:

  1. Register for the STAT-PNG test.
  2. Receive their unique STAT ID.
  3. Enter the STAT ID into their BILUM application.
  4. Sit the STAT-PNG test on the scheduled date.
  5. Wait for the results to be transferred automatically to BILUM.
  6. Have their application assessed once the required results are received.

Prospective students seeking admission to the University of Goroka in 2027 are encouraged to prepare their documents and complete their applications through the appropriate online system before the deadline.
