Tears of Joy as Grade 10 Examination Papers arrive at remote Aiya Robesi High School

A newly established high school in the Southern Highlands Province has celebrated in style  the arrival of the Grade 10 Examinations papers from Port Moresby. The students, teachers and the local community of Robesi High School  in the Wabi Suma Local Level Government in Kagua-Erave district   shared tears of joy as they celebrated the arrival of the examination papers for their school.

Traditional singsing (singing) groups danced in style and escorted the examination papers to the school grounds. Jubilant students and teachers  marched on displaying the examination papers in their arms with the dancers.  Pig killing was also part of the celebration.

The Aiya Robesi high school is a newly established high school in the Southern Highlands Province. This year will see the pioneer Grade 10 students passing out from the school. It is the only high school in this region  that serves more than 30, 000 people.

The students of Aiya Robesi High school  joined the  74 000 Grade 10 students around the country who sat for the English and Personal Development Examination on Monday and  the Social Science and Arts examinations  on Tuesday.  The students will end the exams after the Science and Technology subjects on Wednesday,  Business Studies and Agriculture on Thursday and finally finishing of with the English Examination on Friday.
