How to Apply to Study at Gordon Secondary School

Grade 11 Selections
Students are selected to Gordon Secondary School through Grade 11 selections. This occurs annually in December. To be eligible for selections, students must fill the School Leaver Forms correctly and must have obtained good Grades atleast Upper Passes and above in the Grade 10 National Examination.
Eligibility Criteria : Upper Pass and above.
Grade 9 Selections
Students also study at Gordon Secondary School after they are selected from Grade 8 schools.
Students must have completed Grade 8 with good results in the Basic Education Examination.
The National Cutoff Mark is 80. Students in Port Moresby schools must score above the cut off mark of 80 to be eligible for selections.
Eligibility Criteria : High or above
Transfers
Students from other parts of the country can transfer within the first six weeks of the starting of school year. Transfers at Grade 10 and 12 are not allowed by the Education Department. Transfers can only be accepted if the student's parents are moving to the city for work or for other valid reasons. The above eligibly criteria applies.
