PM Marape encourages Papua New Guineans to Take up FODE to further their Education

Prime Minister James Marape has encouraged Papua New Guinean' s to take up FODE or Flexible Open Distance Education as an avenue to further their education.

Mr. Marape said the Government is encouraging matriculation studies, through FODE for those who left school.

The Prime Minister said this when speaking at the schools 50th fundraising event over the weekend.

He also outlined his plans to partner the school to provide second chance opportunities to underprivileged students.

Prime Minister James Marape said the Gordons Secondary School in the heart of Port Moresby city will undergo a trial program for children who left school and are unable to further their education.

The program is in line with the government’s policy of leaving no child behind.
