The trio, beneficiaries of the PNG Ports Corporate Sponsorship Scheme, received financial assistance to pursue their studies at recognized tertiary institutions in Papua New Guinea or abroad. Additionally, Stella Manau and Molong Kilol, integral members of the Motukea Port Operations Team, attained diplomas in Business Studies.

The sponsorship initiative underscores PNG Ports' commitment to personnel development, fostering job-related skills enhancement, and empowering its workforce. Encompassing various facets of academic pursuits, the scheme extends support for enrollment, registration, tuition fees, as well as travel, boarding, lodging expenses, and other study essentials.

Ian Hayden-Smart, Officer In Charge of PNG Ports, lauded the triumphant trio during the ceremony, commending their dedication to both their studies and their professional responsibilities. He emphasized the significance of their achievements as exemplary instances for their colleagues to emulate, recognizing the challenges of balancing full-time employment, familial obligations, and academic pursuits.
