University of Goroka Entry GPA Requirements

The University of Goroka (UOG) offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, each with specific entry requirements and application procedures. Here's an overview to guide prospective students:

Entry Requirements:

Undergraduate Programs: Applicants typically need to have completed Grade 12 with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) that varies by program. For instance, a GPA of 2.8 or higher is often required. Specific grade requirements in relevant subjects may also apply.

Postgraduate Programs: Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree with a satisfactory GPA in relevant courses. Additional requirements may include submission of references, a research proposal, and meeting specific academic criteria.

Application Process:

School Leavers: Students completing Grade 12 in Papua New Guinea can apply through the School Leavers Form, indicating UOG as their first choice. Selections are processed based on academic performance and program-specific criteria.

Non-School Leavers: Individuals not applying directly from secondary school, including those with prior tertiary education or work experience, must complete the Non-School Leaver Application Form. This form is typically released in July annually and can be downloaded from UOG's official website or obtained directly from the university.

Submission: Completed applications should be submitted as per the instructions provided by UOG. It's important to adhere to deadlines and ensure all required documents are included.

Additional Requirements:

Entrance Examination: Some programs may require applicants to sit for the STAT P or another entry test.

Supporting Documents: Depending on the program, additional documents such as police and medical clearances, references, or a research proposal may be necessary.
