This year’s NOAS screening involved 35,012 candidates, comprising 32,401 Grade 12 school leavers and 2,611 non-school leavers, reflecting the growing appetite for higher education nationwide.

From that pool, 15,688 places were allocated to school leavers, while 7,740 places were assigned to non-school leavers, matching the total intake of 23,428 students for next year.

Minister Feo said admissions were determined strictly by results, with the digital platform providing a transparent and reliable system free from outside influence.

He added that DHERST has been expanding student intake annually to improve access to post-secondary education and meet the country’s long-term skills requirements.

The Minister also thanked the Australia Awards Scholarships program for working alongside DHERST to support local scholarship opportunities.

The official selection list is expected to be released this week.
