Girls in ICT Scholarships 2026 : APPLY NOW

The National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) is inviting applications from eligible female students for the Girls in ICT Tertiary Scholarship Program 2026.

This fully funded scholarship is designed to empower young women in Papua New Guinea to pursue careers in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and other STEM-related fields.

Scholarships Available

For the 2026 academic year, two (2) fully funded scholarships are available.

Scholarship Benefits

• Full tuition fees
• Accommodation and meals
• Allowance for textbooks and stationery
• Fortnightly living allowance
• Travel costs covered throughout the study period

Eligibility Criteria

• Completed Grade 12 in 2025 (school leavers)
• Minimum B grade average in a science major stream (HSC)
• Demonstrated commitment, good character, and motivation
• Accepted into a first-degree program at a NICTA-recognized tertiary institution in Papua New Guinea

Eligible Fields of Study

• Electrical and Communications Engineering
• Computer Science
• Information Technology (IT)
• Other ICT-related programs
