Divine Word University Commends Air Niugini Staff in Madang
Papua New Guinea’s Divine Word University has recognised the efforts of Air Niugini staff in Madang, acknowledging their ongoing role in supporting the safety and welfare of students travelling to and from campus.
The recognition highlights a long-standing working relationship between Divine Word University and the national carrier, with airline staff assisting students, especially during peak travel periods at the start and end of each academic year.

University officials said the consistent support provided over the years has helped ensure students travel with confidence, thanks to the professionalism demonstrated by airline personnel.
To formally acknowledge this contribution, the university’s Student Services Division presented certificates of appreciation to Air Niugini staff, reinforcing ties between the institution and the airline.
The presentation was organised by Sports and Recreation Officer Benjamin Liwa, while Deputy Director Student Services Alfred Ruene represented the university.
Mr Ruene expressed gratitude for the continued cooperation, also recognising the efforts of the Student Services team in coordinating travel arrangements for students.
Madang Airport Manager Henry Senat thanked the university for acknowledging the commitment of his staff and the Guard Dog Security team, stating that the recognition motivates them to maintain high standards of service, professionalism and integrity.
