Vice-Chancellor Professor Ora Renagi, who officially welcomed the rugby league star back to his alma mater, noted that Olam’s trajectory serves as a living blueprint for the university’s mission. The visit underscored the institution's role in molding not just skilled workers, but resilient leaders. Professor Renagi remarked that seeing a former student return with such humility and wisdom provided an invaluable lesson to the current cohort.
“Justin Olam’s journey reminds us that greatness rarely arrives by accident. It is built on discipline, sacrifice and consistent effort,” Professor Renagi said.
