Divine Word University in the Pacific to receive Digital Anatomy Tool for It's Medical Faculty Training |
The Digital Anatomy table is for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences teaching and practical learning purpose.
There are only 200 of these state-of-the-art tables worldwide, and Divine Word University is lucky to be amongst the recipients.
The Anatomage Table is the most technologically advanced 3D anatomy visualisation and virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology education.
This technology is being adopted by many of the world’s leading medical schools and institutions.
Secretary for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, Dr Francis Hualupmomi officiated at the commissioning of the Digital Anatomy Table and said DHERST was pleased to partner with church agencies and improve the quality of education in the country.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr Clement Manineng said the digitalised anatomy table will now replace the human cadaver that students normally used in the past for their anatomy and physiology training.
He said this is a learning boost for the students and the beauty of the 3D technology is its various functions.
