Tertiary Selections Report for Central Province 2025
The Department of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology (DHERST) has officially released the 2025 tertiary selection results for students from Central Province. This announcement highlights the number of school leavers and non-school leavers who have secured placements in tertiary institutions across the country.
School Performances
The following breakdown showcases the selections for schools in Central Province:
- Sogeri National School of Excellence: A total of 259 students were selected, with 15 to Business College, 5 to School of Nursing, 2 to Teachers College, 56 to Technical College, and 181 to universities.
- Laloki Secondary: 31 students secured placements, including 18 to Business College, 2 to Technical College, and 11 to universities.
- Mt Diamond Secondary: 39 students were selected, with 22 to Business College, 9 to Technical College, and 8 to universities.
- Kwikila Secondary: A total of 26 students secured placements, with 16 to Business College, 2 to Teachers College, 5 to Technical College, and 3 to universities.
- Kupiano Secondary: 10 students were selected, with placements spread across Business College, Technical College, and universities.
- Iarowari Secondary: 21 students secured placements, with selections in Business College, Teachers College, Technical College, and universities.
- Mainohana Secondary: A total of 21 students were selected, with placements including 12 to Business College, and others across Teachers College, Technical College, and universities.
- Sacred Heart (Tapini) Secondary School: 10 students secured placements, including selections for Business College, Teachers College, and Technical College.
Central Province saw a total of 430 students securing placements in tertiary institutions, including:
- 110 students to Business Colleges.
- 5 students to Schools of Nursing.
- 9 students to Teachers Colleges.
- 92 students to Technical Colleges.
- 214 students to universities.
