The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, where Wagambie was among 200 graduates from the DWU Port Moresby Campus. Having previously obtained his Diploma and Degree from the DWU Madang Campus, he stated that earning an MBA from the institution had been his long-term aspiration. He acknowledged the support of the RPNGC, his sponsors, family, and friends in achieving this milestone.
Wagambie encouraged fellow police officers to pursue further studies at institutions beyond the police force, emphasizing the importance of engaging with professionals from various government agencies and private sectors. He highlighted the need for officers to gain broader perspectives on improving policing in communities and the country. While acknowledging the value of in-house police training, he stressed the importance of tertiary education in enhancing officers' capabilities.
He further stated that the programs at DWU had equipped him with the skills to be a responsible and accountable front-line manager. He added that he was prepared to apply his knowledge in the field upon resuming duty.
Meanwhile, another senior police officer, Inspector Shammah Krahwasi, also graduated during the ceremony. Krahwasi, who serves as the Director of the Air Wing and is an aircraft engineer, attained a Diploma in Business Studies.
