 Study in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and study at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG). The university of Papua New Guinea is the premier university in the South Pacific. The university is located in North Waigani Suburb of Port Moresby, the capital of PNG.

Entry Requirements 

The entry requirements of each of the schools varies a lot. The school of Law and Medicine require higher GPAs.(Check here : How to calculate GPA

Any student wishing to study undergraduate program must meet the minimum entry requirements. 

  • Grade 12 schools must score Bs and As in all the subjects studied in secondary schools to take up either Law or Medicine at UPNG. For other courses, Cs, Bs, and As grades are required. 
  • Non School leavers must have the same or equivalent in the matriculation results . 
How to Apply to take up Undergraduate Programmes at the University of Papua New Guinea. 

There are two ways, students can apply to take up undergraduate courses at the University of Papua New Guinea. 

These are through
  • School Leavers (Current Grade 12s)
  • Non School Leavers (Those who complete grade 12 prior to this year) 
School leavers must apply through the School Leavers Forms (SLF) facilitated by the DHERST. Students must also apply through the online version of SLF called on NOAS (National online Application System). Students MUST indicate the course and  put first Choice UPNG as their preference. 

Non School Leavers: Non school leavers must also apply online . Applications for this year is open.
